WHAT IS A RIBBON CUTTING?
A ribbon cutting is a fun, celebratory event that helps introduce your business to the community. It's a great way to mark a new opening, new location, remodel, or change of ownership while connecting with Chamber members and local supporters. 
 
WHO CAN HAVE A RIBBON CUTTING?

• Ribbon cuttings are available to new members upon request 

• Existing members may also request one for a new location, remodel, or change of ownership

 
WHAT HAPPENS AT A RIBBON CUTTING?
Guests gather for a short ceremony that includes a quick introduction to your business, photos, and networking. These events are relaxed, welcoming, and designed to help you get noticed in the community. Ribbon Cuttings are a great addition to an Open House. 
 
HOW LONG DOES A RIBBON CUTTING LAST?
Ribbon cuttings typically last 15-30 minutes 
 
WHAT DOES THE CHAMBER PROVIDE? 
The Chamber provides the

• Ribbon and ceremonial scissors

• Assists with scheduling and promotion of the event

• Photo and acknowledgment of your ribbon cutting on social media/Chamber website

 
WHAT IS THE BUSINESS RESPONSIBLE FOR?

• The business provides the event location

• Brief introduction of the business

• Refreshments and promotional materials are optional

 
WHO SHOULD I INVITE TO THE RIBBON CUTTING?
We recommend inviting employees, family, friends, customers, and business partners. You may also wish to invite neighboring businesses, community leaders, local media and local supporters to help celebrate your milestone. 
 
HOW DO I REQUEST A RIBBON CUTTING?
Members may contact the Chamber office to request and schedule a ribbon cutting. The Chamber needs a minimum of two to four weeks ahead of the event. This is to allow the Chamber time to invite its Board of Directors and time to promote the event on social media.
